Eminence Eels Varsity fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-2 loss to Purdue Polytechnic on Tuesday. Purdue Polytechnic scored on a sacrifice fly by Jeffers, a double by Jonquil Muse, and an error in the first inning. The Eminence Eels Varsity struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Purdue Polytechnic, giving up 12 runs. Purdue Polytechnic scored six runs in the third inning. Stephen Tunstil, Kin Chow Morian, Jeffers, Muse, and Colten Ridenour each had RBIs in the frame. Ridenour was the winning pitcher for Purdue Polytechnic. The bulldog lasted four innings, allowing six hits and two runs while striking out nine. Morian threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Justice Stockwell took the loss for Eminence Eels Varsity. Stockwell lasted two innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out one. Trevyn Burnett went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Eminence Eels Varsity in hits. Purdue Polytechnic racked up seven hits on the day. Morian and Jeffers all managed multiple hits for Purdue Polytechnic.
